EcoMachines at the Technology Ventures Conference 2013

The EcoMachines team attended the 10th Technology Ventures Conference in Cambridge on Friday 21st June. The annual event is organised by the Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club (CUTEC) with the aim of connecting entrepreneurs, investors, technologists, academics, and students.

The theme of this year’s conference was “A Faster Future – The Accelerating Pace of Innovation”, inspired by how quickly modern innovations are changing the way we live. The conference hosted eminent speakers from across the worlds of business and technology, and panel discussions on Rapid Prototyping, Synthetic Biology, Big Data and Emerging Technology Markets.

EcoMachines exhibited at the conference, where we met entrepreneurs with a range of exciting ideas in the energy, cleantech and engineering areas, and more broadly in Cambridge’s ever expanding high-tech cluster. We were able to introduce entrepreneurs and partners to the EcoMachines model for accelerated development of high-value manufacturing and advanced engineering companies.

TVClogo Congratulations to Desktop Genetics, Skin Analytics and TicketingHub, who were the winners of the Start-up Challenge.

As a supporter of the UK’s engineering growing tech sector, EcoMachines will be presenting at other events in the coming months, seeking exciting entrepreneurs and startups to include in our Accelerator programme. If you are organising an event you think we would like to attend, please contact us.
