Q-Bot Nominated in CIBSE Building Performance Awards
The Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) is a professional body that supports the science and practice of building services engineering around the world. It is also a pioneering organisation with regards to challenging climate change through sustainable building and innovative system design.
The CIBSE Building Performance Awards celebrate projects and products that demonstrate excellence and innovation in the built environment, with a focus on measurable results rather than just design intent.
Q-Bot’s robotic tools can be used to apply insulation under suspended timber floors, reducing draughts, cutting heating bills and saving energy. By shortlisting Q-Bot for Energy Saving Product of the year, the BPA judging panel have recognised the significant impact Q-Bot’s technology could have on energy usage within Britain’s 6 million pre-1919 homes.
EcoMachines invested in Q-Bot during July 2014. Since then, we have been working with the company to help scale their offering and identify opportunities for growth, building their executive team and accelerating their market readiness.
